Have you ever seen a performer, singer, musician, or favorite sports get together on TV and you just really enjoyed it? Heard an artist on the radio, and you were wanting to hear more? I was that way when I 1st heard Jennifer Nettles the band Sugarland. Jennifer’s commanding voice and the vibe of the music and band just clicked with me.

It seems that everybody has a favorite singer, artist, sports team, or performer that they really enjoy. When the time comes that you want to see an gathering where they are playing or performing live, where do you go to get tickets? Well, these days, it is so simple to get things Online, that it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to travel to a box office far from your home, to try and get tickets for an event. It’s much, much easier to turn on a PC, get on the Web, and find ticket suppliers that carry tickets for the gathering you want to attend. It might be cheaper too, with the price of gas these days!

Of course as with so many other things Online, there are many scam artists out there, and plenty of Online ticket dealers that might not be exactly what they seem. It is important to know the ones to deal with, and the ones to avoid.

I’m an avid concert goer, and have seen many, many live gigs over the years. I’ve even performed myself as a singer and performer in many concert s. It would pain me to know that some unscrupulous ticket dealer cheated individuals trying to buy tickets to a concert of mine. Consequently, I’ve done the research over the years, and found what I consider to be the Top 3 Internet ticket sources.

What you’re looking for when considering purchasing concert or get together tickets Internet is really what I call the “Big 5 Reasons to Use a Particular Internet Concert or Ticket get together Supplier.”

1. Security – Their web site has a capture ordering process (No ID theft worries.)

4. Reliability – They have a track record showing exceptional customer service. You may trust them.

5. Navigation – Their website is simply accessible, easy to use, and the ordering process is intuitive.

In my opinion, there are three web site sources for performance and party tickets in specific that go above and beyond the call. The sources are TicketsNext, PurchaseTix, and RazorGator. I have assembled even more info while searching for Sugarland performance tickets, that applies to everybody searching for Internet tickets to any performance or major event.

Concert Secrets Revealed – Stop Waiting in Line For Your Concert Tickets

Are you tired of missing out on tickets for your preferred band? If you’re prefer most listeners, you have been forced to purchase high-priced tickets on eBay or from Web ticket brokers because the concert you wanted to see sold out before you could get tickets.

Take heart! That is all about to differ. I am going to let you in on some information that could literally take you to the front of the line the next time you want to buy performance tickets!

But before I do, I need to make sure we are alone.

Why all the secrecy you ask?

It’s easy. I am about to divulge the substantially same information that the ticket sellers on eBay use to buy their performance and sports tickets for face value all over the country. I am about to tell you little-known information that will take you from customer to competitor. In short, I would be in meaningful trouble If they found out I was practically giving away the store.

Think about it this way. If you had a hidden gravy inform that let you purchase tickets for as little as $35 each and then sell them later for 200-300  percent profit, wouldn’t you be pretty ticked off if an individual related the whole world about it?

And how do I know about this valuable information?

Easy, I’ve been using it to buy and sell performance and sports tickets for everything from WWE wrestling shows to Kenny Chesney to Beck to U2. This proven information has been refined and developed over the years to make individuals many money. I know it could do the same thing for you, too.

While this can all sound like typical marketing hype, I can assure you it’s absolutely true. Concert  promoters, radio stations, fan club s, booster club s, and other groups sponsor ticket presales or special promotions for their members. These sales typically occur Online a few days or weeks before the tickets go on sale to the general public.

These special advance ticket sales are provide ed as either an incentive to join in the case of a fan venue or radio station mailing list, or as a perk for a loyal group of listeners like season ticket holders of an NFL team.

Passwords can be distributed by the Venue, artist, team, fan venue,  promoter, radio station, etc. Whoever is sponsoring the presale will handle the distribution of it. During the presale, a portion of tickets is made available to this pick group of people so they may purchase tickets before anybody else has a occasion. As you may see, this gives them a very big advantage over the general public. Indeed, the group sponsoring the presale only wants members of the intended group to purchase tickets during the presale. So in an resolution to limit the presale, these special sales are, in essence, password protected.

In the past, virtually all presale passwords were a simple word, and everyone who knew this word could purchase tickets. These were thought to be generic passwords.Recently, in an effort to further limit who could use presale passwords, some groups have begin to utilize unique passwords. A unique password, as the name implies, is specific to each buyer, and could not be used for multiple purchases. Once the password has been used to purchase tickets, it’s no longer valid. Unique passwords are used regularly by sports teams for season-ticket holder presales or by fan venues of the more popular musical groups and performers. Due to the additional specifications necessary for unique ticket presales, the majority of the passwords you find on the Internet are generic passwords, but you need to be aware of the type of password you receive.

Generic passwords are considerably regularly used during radio station presales or presales sponsored by performance  promoters or Venues. Traditionally the majority passwords have been generic, but more and more musicians are employing unique passwords to thwart ticket scalping. Keep this in mind on your quest for a password. I would hate for you to think the password you scored for your favorite band was generic when in fact it was unique. Here are several things to keep in mind.

• Presales are regularly sold from a specified block of seats or a certain price level.

• an event can have more than one presale with its own password selling tickets from the same or diverse ticket pools.

• The tickets available during the presale won’t necessarily be the same sections that will be available during the general sale to the public.

• Presales provide the advantage of exclusive purchasing links which often determinations in less individuals competing for the pool of available seats.

• Presales could have limited seating available in various areas. Since presales are intended as advance purchasing opportunities, they do not always offer access to better seats. In fact, it’s possible that better tickets can be available when the tickets go on sale to the general public, but there will furthermore be more competition for those tickets.

• Presales ofttimes have stringent purchase limits that restrict purchasers to 4 or fewer tickets each.

• Presales can be restricted to “will call” only.

• Presales can require you to purchase with a certain credit card or other form of payment, ex American Express.

• A presale might require an additional cost to join the bands fan club.

Hopefully I have shown you the worth of presale passwords and how they could help you score tickets to your favorite band. With this information, and a little time and resolution you, like me, could skip to the head of the line the next time you want to buy concert tickets.

Stay tuned for part two of this  guide to learn more specific suggestions for locating and using presale passwords. Until then, I willbe seeing you on the “inside!”

Concert  promoters may effortlessly be thought of as major event planners. Every detail of the performance has to go off in the absence of a hitch and that responsibility lies solely with the  promoter. Concert promotion is a demanding career that requires serious attention to detail. In order to be an effective and successful performance  promoter, a high level of organization is necessary. Losing track of necessary contact names, dates, telephone numbers or Venue information may prove disastrous.

The world of concert promotions is full of contracts, legal agreements, insurance policies and riders. In order to make the best business decisions, a concert  promoter has to have a working knowledge of all of these legal documents. Not understanding parts of a contract or rider could lead to confusion and difficult ies down the road.

Concert  promoters could make a huge amount of resources, and then, they could lose resources as well. Most people don’t realize that quite usually, performance  promoters actually use their personal resources to fund a performance event. All of the party costs are his or her responsibility up front. Once the tickets have been sold, the band gets their cut and the bills get paid. It’s only then that the  promoter gets what’s left. For this reason, it is of the ut most importance to get as many paying customers in the door as possible.

Some of the major expenses involved with concert promotion are the Venue rental and event insurance. The  promoter contacts the Venue and works out a cost for the duration of the event. Some Venues will require up-front payment while others could require a down payment with the remainder due at the end of the concert. Insurance is absolutely vital and helps to protect the Venue owners, concert  promoter and performer from possible litigation.

In addition,  the performance  promoter bears the fee of all advertising promotions and other marketing expenses.  promoters these days have a variety of choices for marketing. They may use the Web, radio, TV and even flyers to get the word out about their event. Marketing, when done properly, generally takes up a fairly substantial portion of the performance  promoters budget.

A successful concert  promoter understands how to advertise to get the most people to buy tickets for the show. They’ve got to have a nice sense of the performer that they are promoting as well as their listeners. Whether a concert attracts a immense listeners or a small one depends on how well the party was  promote d, plain and easy. Concert  promoters really have one objective; to make sure that enough tickets sell to make a profit. Ideally, all the tickets will sell for every night or day the party will run, but that is not guaranteed.

The location, size and even layout of a Club has to be taken into consideration by the performance  promoter. In order to put on a exceptional rock performance, everything has to be just right. Everything must be considered, from band dressing rooms to the house sound system and lighting. Pleasing the band is only part of the story though. The fans has to be taken care of as well, both inside and outside the Club. Things prefer security, parking and even restroom facilities all fall under the performance  promoters watchful eye.

At some concert s, the concert  promoter will have to pitch in and advocate in other ways. Concert  promoters are a lot of the time responsible for making sure things are ready for the band. This can include  set ting up the stage, doing sound-checks and lighting a DJ ustments. Quite a lot of the time it also means they will have to decorate the Club to suit the concert.

At smaller events, the performance  promoter is again and again responsible for collecting tickets or working the merchandise table. At certain types of events, they may even have the task of checking ID’s at the door the day of the event.  promoters are again and again likewise responsible for advocate ing to break down the stage used by the band. Clean-up following the performance may likewise be the  promoters job, depending on the negotiated contract.

Being a concert promoter can be inspiring, rewarding and risky, but it’s value it. Concert  promoters have excellent jobs because they work directly with the artists. Besides that and the fact that the income can be excellent, remember, they’ve got some of the perfect seats in the house at every show.

Music Distribution Deals – Know the Facts Prior To Signing

With the escalating progression of music technology in the last decade, mainland CD  stores are continuing to decline in popularity, as the trendy demand for digital music downloads continues to crush them further into the archives of history. Claiming more than half of the globes music purchasing fans, Digital Music Distribution is the predominant method of music marketing the world offers us now.
More and more musicians are appearing on the scene with highly polished albums, mostly produced entirely under their own steam. They have become source ful singular empires, holding sole rights and authenticity as unconstrained producers and marketing agents of their own products. The musicians are ready to take the world by storm by hooking themselves up with one of the many distribution organizations currently available.
But as an independent musician, what are you really signing up to in a distribution deal?
many digital distributors offer musicians the occasion to have their music available on many of the popular and esteemed music selling outfits; Apple iTunes being one of the most popular playgrounds for current music consumers. But whilst they could promise to get your music on the right path, how is it going to be found amongst the billion other musicians competing for sales? Consider that most central stream musicians have many more dollars poured into their advertising and marketing individual a’s than the unsigned musician could ever afford. Major acts are funded by major pockets ensuring the best occasion of sales.
One answer to this is that many unsigned musicians feel that by simply having their music made available alongside mainstream musicians is a improve to their credibility, affording them and their music a much higher distinction. It’s certain that a nice deal could grant your music a triumphant victory if you manage to populate vintage music selling web site s. Your only subsequent aim is to actually make sales on them. Otherwise what’s the purpose following all?
Deals, terms and conditions differ from business to business, so it is worth looking around and researching which type of distribution method is right for you. There are many worthy deals, and could just as many scams, circulating the information highway.
If you’re thinking of accepting a distribution deal, before signing the dotted line it is vital to ask questions such as:
• Does the deal include any publicity or promotional advantages to the artist?
• Are there any payments I must make, statutory, collective or otherwise?
• What percentage of royalties will I receive, and how are payments handled?
• could I be offer d with an estimation of how profitable your distributive methods are?
• What are my rights in terminating the contract?
• Am I solely responsible for tax declarations on my net income?
Other things you must check before signing are the ‘exclusivity’ terms. These could greatly inhibit your freedom. Does a deal involve licensing your music digitally (via prefer red Internet formats) or does the deal also include physical sales? Some are highly exclusive in nature whilst others give you rights to continue with marketing your music via other channels.
Bear in mind that many reputable and authorised distributors, such as CD Baby for one, won’t allow an musician to exploit other distribution channels, as the two get togethers run the risk of putting your music on the exact same web site s. A hassle major retailers and distributors could do without, and an understandable clause too.
You must read the terms of an agreement in full. It’s absolutely essential that you fully understand what’s expected from you as well as what’s being offer ed!
Here is a cautionary example:
A music distribution web site currently offers a deal for both digital and physical music sales, (the terms of agreement are publicly available for download on the web site ).
The web site appears to charge $99.99 as a one off payment. Upon checking their terms of agreement however, it states:
“After one year of promotion,  we  may archive, remove and/or su spend your Works from the Service without terminating this Agreement.”
What then Assuming that the agreement is still in place but your work is no longer made available on their web site?
“You could pay an annual fee, which is to be determined, to insure that your Materials are not archived, but displayed and offer ed for sale following the 1st year of Service.”
So if you refuse to pay this annual fee, the web site still holds all rights to license and sell your music as expressed in the agreement you already signed!
This is not necessarily wrong but is it what you want? Always check the small print and read any agreement thoroughly. As a general rule be wary of web sites that ask you to pay for distributing your music. On the basis that a web site ’s marketing strategies were fruitful, and they believed that your music is nice enough to reap a profit, why would they be asking you to pay them in advance? Suffice to say that not all web sites that request payment from an musician deliver an unsatisfactory service. Speak to other musicians whose music is being distributed and see how the deal is working for them. If something does not sound quite right in any deal, double check with the distributor. If you still receive an insufficient response, you could always seek a legal opinion. But if you’re really in doubt, perhaps you’re better off without !
If you’re marketing your music through a label they ought to be sufficiently taking care of your interests. A reputable label with ensure that all terms in a distribution  set ting are obvious and fair to all get togethers involved. Being part of an honest label is ofttimes a nice way to relieve yourself from some of the finer pressures attached to direct schemes. They will of course also expect a cut of the profits but will ofttimes have a nice degree of interest in maintaining their own musician s’ affairs in an appropriate manner. Assuming that the musician is happy the label thrives upon its nice reputation, and its integrity towards its musician s.
Despite the odds, sales margins have expanded for thousands of unsigned musician s, simply because of the greater variety of marketing mediums available. You could not only market your music yourself, but allow others to do it for you. The more places your music is available the higher your occasions are of achieving sales. But as with any enterprise, resources and prof it is the primary goal, and consequently you ought to continue with caution before handing your individual work over to anyone.
There are many reputable distributors, who promise to do the job and actually deliver what they stated. But, as with everything in life, there are those that you would rather not be involved with. So research as many as possible, and ask as many questions as you see fit. After all, a year is a long time to get stuck in a deal you later realised does not quite work for you! Not only would a bad deal cause you much frustration in its limitations, but could also undermine your confidence in participating in future marketing opportunities.

Gigs – Concert For George

Posted by Music Concerts | Posted in Concert Tickets | Posted on 30-03-2009

In this article we’re going to briefly review one of the most touching concert that has been ever held for another individual, The Concert For George.
There are  surprisingly few people in history who you could mention their 1st name, say the word concert and know exactly who that concert has been for. The Concert For George has been one of those concert s. George of course being the late George Harrison of the Beatles.
George Harrison died of brain cancer on November 29, 2001. One year later the memorial concert for this wonderful musician has been held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. It’s only fitting that this has been the place as Harrison has been 100  percent English from the top of his head to the suggestions of his magical guitar fingers. many feel he has been the overlooked Beatle. Everything has been about John and Paul. But most critics feel that George Harrison has been the heart and soul of the Beatle’s guitar sound which has since be copied by so many musician s.
The idea for the concert has been George’s nice friend Eric Clapton’s. Clapton and Harrison had actually been companions for a long time and 1st played together on the White Album. The song, of course, has been “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” Clapton put together a memorial that Harrison himself would have smiled at.
The concert began with the daughter of one of Harrison’s wonderful companions, Ravi Shankar, singing “Your Eyes.” After this song the daughter, who’s name is Anoushka, teamed with another one of Harrison’s companions, Jeff Lynne of ELO fame, to sing “The Inner Light” which has been one of George Harrison’s own tunes.
The concert itself has been a mixture of music and comedy, which is  surprisingly unusual for a concert. The comedy has been handled mostly by the ensemble of Monty Python who, along with Tom Hanks, performed “Sit On My Face” and “The Lumberjack Song” which has been one of Monty Python’s funniest and most famous tunes.
The rest of the concert featured more of George’s companions and the remaining members of the Beatles, Paul and Ringo. also there were Tom Petty, Billy Preston, and Gary Brooker from Procal Harem. George’s son Dhani has been also on hand. If you watch the video of the concert you would swear that Dhani has been George Harrison if you didn’t know better.
The remainder of the concert featured mostly songs that were either done by The Beatles or songs that George had done solo or with other performers such as when he has been with Tom Petty during his stint with The Traveling Willburys.
The songs are a who’s who of some of the most important tunes these people ever did together or separately. They included such classics as George’s signature song “Something,” the Beatles’ prefer “Isn’t It A Pity,” “Here Comes The Sun,” a Ringo tune that George played on, “Photograph,” “All Things Must Pass,” “My Sweet Lord,” and finishing with “I’ll See You In My Dreams,” which has been an appropriate ending for the concert.

Neil Diamond Concert Blues

Hearing Neil Again
I heard about the Neil Diamond concert coming to Charlotte on December 12. I became excited and tried to buy tickets. After a few hours on the Internet, I realized this has been going to be a treat reserved for those who could afford to pay the scavenger’s exorbitant prices for the tickets. Not that Neil is not worth it, I just can’t afford it. Therefore, my moodiness tonight. I want to hear Neil in individual one last time, and can’t.
Loving Neil has been a lifetime joy of mine. He captured my heart in the 60’s with “Cherry, Cherry” and later with “Song Sung Blue” and “Stones”, and many others. I saw him in concert in Charlotte in 1977. After the concert, I drove behind the coliseum, saw a bus, thought it has been his and chased it all over Charlotte at high rates of speed until I lost track and has been forced to go home. I honestly thought I would follow this bus to it is destination upon which Neil would depart and walk into my arms to stay forever. I has been 29 years old then.
I’m 61 now, and still have that fantasy…someday I will take Neil into my arms and convey my absolute appreciation of his talent and sensitivity. His songs guided me through years of self-discovery, new motherhood, loss of love, and finally rediscovering myself. No matter what my mood, Neil’s music could take me there. I nursed my babies in the wee hours of the morning to the sound of Neil, I loved my husband in the wee hours with the echoes of Neil’s music in my head, I endured my boring jobs with the beat of Neil’s music in my limbs yearning to dance, to express, to feel his words with motion. Neil always had a song that would relate to whatever has been going on with my life. I need to let him know it. I need to go to this concert. It will could be by last occasion.
The concert is a ample deal to me. It’s could a ample deal to Neil. We’re both getting older, both needing to justify our years, both needing to be appreciated, both needing to feel that we’ll be recall ed. He will be recall ed for his talent, but will I be recall ed as the the dedicated, lifelong fan?
